Christophe Evain

Christophe is the former Chief Executive of Intermediate Capital Group PLC, an alternative asset manager with €46 billion under management.

After graduating from the University of Paris-Dauphine, he started his career in banking, holding various positions at NatWest and Banque de Gestion Privee.

In 1994, he joined ICG, and spent the next 23 years helping to build the firm into a European leader in credit, private equity, real estate and other alternative asset classes. He founded ICG’s businesses in Paris, the Asia-Pacific region, and North America, and was instrumental in adding various business lines, including UK property and private equity secondaries. In 2004, Christophe was appointed as ICG’s Group Managing Director; in 2008, he became Chairman of the main Investment Committee and Chief Investment Officer; and in 2010 he was appointed CEO.

Christophe stepped down as CEO in 2017. He is also a non-executive director of Landsec, a UK-listed property business.
