Bridges has once again been recognised as a ‘Best for the World’ B Corp, in B Lab’s 2022 list of the top-performing certified B Corporations globally.

We’re delighted to have been named a 2022 Best for the World™ B Corp™, which recognises those companies that score in the top 5% globally in the B Impact Assessment that each B Corp must take every three years.

Bridges was recognised particularly in the Governance category, reflecting our commitment to aligning social/environmental mission-related manager responsibilities, robust impact reporting and regular social/environmental performance reviews at Board level.

However our cumulative B Impact score of 145.4 across the five categories also puts us in the top 10 of all Best for the World honorees this year.

Today, there are more than 5,000 B Corps across 80 countries and 155 industries, unified by one common goal: building an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economic system. We have long been a supporter of the B Corp movement: its mission aligns closely with our own conviction that businesses have a unique opportunity to create value by helping to build a better future for people and the planet.

Dan Osusky, Head of Standards and Insights at B Lab Global, said of the list: “Each Best for the World edition is an opportunity to raise the bar for how businesses can and should operate to create real and lasting positive impact for their workers, customers, communities, and the environment. While no company is perfect and even the best companies can and should continue to strive to improve, the B Corps recognised as Best for the World can provide us all — standards setters, B Corps, non B Corps, and sustainability advocates — with inspiration on what true leadership in business can look like to make progress on addressing our current global challenges.”

Bridges was a founding UK B Corp and has remained at the forefront of the movement. At COP26 in Glasgow, we stood alongside fellow B Corps in our sector as founding members of the B Finance UK coalition, to encourage other financial institutions to be more transparent and accountable on climate action.
