SHPS: Data & Operations Analyst

  • Renumeration: £33k. Annual leave 25 days.


A unique and exciting opportunity to support the implementation and delivery of an innovative homelessness programme. Single Homeless Prevention Service (SHPS) works with individuals who do not meet the criteria for priority need support but who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, helping them to either find new accommodation or sustain their existing tenancies. The service is currently operating in three boroughs and is expanding across London.

The programme is an outcomes contract where we are paid for achieving positive social outcomes for our clients. This model allows flexibility in how the service is delivered with a focus on evolving the service delivery model to best achieve the target social outcomes for the people we support. The scale and ambition of the programme represents an exciting step forward in this growing area of public sector commissioning.

SHPS is a subsidiary of Bridges Outcomes Partnerships, a not-for-profit social enterprise established to develop and deliver outcomes-based contracts, working in partnership with public sector commissioners and impact driven delivery organisations. 

Role Outline and Description

The focus of your work will be to lead on data analysis and reporting critical to the successful delivery of this contract. You will report to the SHPS Director. The Data and Operations Analyst will also actively participate in the design and refinement of our systems and approaches to support greater collaboration across the Councils and the delivery organisations. You will be critical to identifying priority areas for adaptive management to ensure that the programme is continually learning and applying this to improve operational performance and prevent more people from becoming homeless. 

This role will also offer the opportunity to support on other homelessness related projects being delivered by Bridges Outcomes Partnership, one or two days a week. These include a project supporting rough sleepers in Manchester and projects in Bristol and London helping Care Leavers.

Your Challenge

  • Analysis and Reporting
    • Lead on the creation of detailed analysis and performance reporting used to help drive improvement and innovation in the service and help more people from becoming homeless.
    • Present your analysis and project performance at the SHPS board.
  • Referral data
    • Work with service delivery partners to ensure that all referrals are collected and entered correctly into the referral system.
    • Clean data as needed and check data for accuracy
    • Raise any issues with counterparts at Local Council/ Delivery Organisations as needed
  • Outcomes data:
    • Liaise with data contacts at the delivery organisations to collect outcomes data.
    • Check data for accuracy and raise issues with the Project Director.
    • Raise any issues with counterparts at delivery organisations as needed.
  • Invoicing / payments
    • Work with the Project Director to ensure that invoices for outcomes are made in a timely manner and are paid.
  • Process Improvement
    • Work with the Project Director and Delivery Organisation / Local Council data persons to continually develop and refine data collection processes to make them as streamlined and efficient as possible
