Edward Vaughan Lui

Ed is a Partner and Head of Impact at Bridges, responsible for integrating impact across the firm’s strategies including private equity, real estate and outcomes partnerships.

Prior to joining Bridges in 2026, Ed was Interim Head of Sustainability at Permira Credit, where he led sustainability integration across £17bn of European direct lending, strategic opportunities and CLO investments. Before that, he spent six years at Aviva Investors, the global asset management arm of Aviva plc, as Head of Sustainability for Private Markets, where he focused on product strategy, thematic research and investment integration and contributed to the launch of over £2bn of venture, nature and multi-asset sustainable and impact products. Earlier in his career, Ed held sustainability roles at FTSE 100 developer Landsec, consultancy Mace Group and in the real estate team in Marks & Spencer, having begun his working life as a carpenter in the construction industry.

Ed is Chairman of the Advisory Board of The Land Collective, a community interest company focused on developing diverse young talent, and an Honorary Senior Visiting Associate at Bayes Business School, London, from which he holds an MBA.
