Machine learning for orchard management

Thesis

As climate pressures rise and growers face increasing labor constraints, tree‑level analytics can materially enhance yields while reducing chemical use and operational waste. Falling aerial data acquisition costs and growing demand for accurate carbon measurement further strengthen the need for scalable intelligence platforms.

Investment

SeeTree provides an intelligence platform that analyses tree‑level data collected from drones, satellites, planes, weather feeds, and IoT sensors. Its technology classifies each tree’s health, productivity, and stress indicators to help growers optimize spraying, irrigation, labour, and long‑term orchard planning. Customers include large citrus, and other permanent crop growers across the US, Brazil, and Mexico.

Outcomes

By digitising orchards and enabling precise interventions, SeeTree improves yields and reduces chemical inputs, supporting more sustainable food production.
