ImpactAssets names Bridges Ventures amongst top 50 impact investors

We are delighted to announce that, for a second year running, Bridges Ventures (‘Bridges’) has been included in the ImpactAssets 50 2012 list (IA 50 2012), the first open-source, publicly published database of experienced impact investment fund managers.

The IA 50 2012 is a resource for the increasing number of investors interested in gaining exposure to investment opportunities that deliver both financial and social or environmental returns, and is now available at http://www.impactassets.org/impactassets-50.

It offers investors and their advisers an easy way to identify experienced impact investment firms and explore potential investment options. Bridges is listed amongst 49 other firms with a combined $10.2bn in assets invested across geographies, sectors, asset classes and impact areas such as community development, microfinance and clean technology.

Michele Giddens, Partner and Co-Founder at Bridges Ventures, said: “We are delighted to have been included in the IA 50 again, a recognition which is particularly welcome in a year when we celebrate our 10th anniversary. Over the last two years we have seen our assets under management doubling which we hope it’s further evidence of the increased number of investors moving into the sector. The IA 50 is a great resource for those doing due diligence on impact fund managers and we are very proud to be part of it.”
