Dr Guy Turnbull, Managing Director of CASA, triumphed at the national finals of the EY Entrepreneur of The Year 2016 awards, taking home the Social Entrepreneur award.

CASA is an employee-owned social enterprise that provides high-quality domiciliary and complex health and social care to the elderly, disabled and vulnerable. Its innovative business model leads to higher levels of employee satisfaction, retention and ultimately a higher quality customer care. Bridges invested in CASA in 2011, and by the time we came to exit in 2016, the business had increased its care provision (and its revenues) by 250%. By this point, the business employed over 700 people, over 93% of whom are drawn from traditionally underserved areas.

Held in over 60 countries worldwide, the EY Entrepreneur of The Year awards celebrate the contribution of exceptional entrepreneurs who are helping to shape businesses for a better and more sustainable future. Find out more about Dr Turnbull and the other winning entrepreneurs here.
