Christophe Defert

Christophe is a Partner in the Private Equity team and leads Bridge’s Climate Transition strategy. The team supports entrepreneurs who build technologies and businesses to transition industries and services to a more sustainable economy and planet.

Prior to Joining Bridges, Christophe started his career as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch before joining the Private Equity firm TowerBrook Capital Partners. Following his MBA, Christophe joined Centrica where he spent 10 years, starting in the M&A team in the UK and finishing in San Francisco having built its successful corporate venture business. In 2021, Christophe and his team joined HSBC Asset Management where he developed a Climate focused venture and growth strategy.

Christophe has a BA in Economics and International Relations from Colorado College, a post graduate degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and an MBA for the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
