We are delighted to announce that Qbic Hotel has been awarded a Platinum level GreenLeader award by TripAdvisor for being their number 1 green hotel in London in 2014.

“TripAdvisor GreenLeaders are leading the hospitality industry in making efforts to improve their environmental footprint,” said Jenny Rushmore, director of responsible travel at TripAdvisor. “We greatly applaud these hotels and B&Bs, and are pleased to share their eco-friendly practices with our online community.”

Qbic Hotel’s environmentally friendly practices include generating a portion of their electricity through their own solar panels, using energy efficient lighting, chemical-free cleaning products and automatic light savers.

The TripAdvisor GreenLeaders program was developed in consultation with the United Nations Environment Programme, the U.S. Green Building Council, ENERGY STAR® and the International Centre for Responsible Tourism Canada, among other leading environmental organisations.

Located in Whitechapel in London’s East End, Qbic Hotel offers affordable yet stylish accommodation to leisure and business travellers from as little as £69 per night. Its 171 rooms  features innovative design based around the “Cubi”, a pre-fabricated bedroom that has  enabled the conversion of an old office building into a hotel quickly, efficiently and with very little environmental impact.
