The Economist discusses how the repurposing unused office buildings, as the Qbic Hotel London has done in London’s East End, is saving money and encouraging growth.

Located in Whitechapel, the Qbic Hotel offers affordable yet stylish accommodation to leisure and business travellers from as little as £59 per night. Its 171 rooms feature innovative design based around the “Cubi”, a pre-fabricated bedroom that has enabled the conversion of an old office building into a hotel quickly, efficiently and with very little environmental impact.
