2012 is Bridges tenth year. We wanted to set ourselves a challenge to mark this anniversary: How far can the Bridges team travel purely through “human power” in six months?

Our aim is to run, walk, cycle and swim a combined total of 20,000 km, the approximate equivalent distance of travelling pole to pole, from March to September 2012. Through this challenge we hope to reduce our carbon footprint and raise money for our chosen charity, Springboard.

Please support us by donating to Springboard, a great charity that works in city schools providing one-to-one tuition and mentoring to children with literacy difficulties. To donate please go to: www.justgiving.com/bridgeschallenge
