Ben Penaliggon, Investment Director, CarePlaces

Ben is an Investment Director for CarePlaces, our specialist healthcare real estate strategy where he is responsible for investment management and asset allocation across the portfolio.

He has over 30 years’ experience in real estate investment, almost exclusively as a principal institutional investor, having worked across multiple geographies and sectors. He has dedicated his focus to the healthcare sector since 2014.

Prior to joining Bridges Ben was a Director and Senior Fund Manager at Octopus Real Estate, where he was responsible for its elderly care home funds platform (four specialist institutional elderly care home funds, approx. £750m AUM) and Chaired its Investment Committee.

Ben was previously a Managing Director with PGIM, where he worked across a range of real estate strategies in the US, UK and Europe.

Ben graduated from the University of Greenwich with a BSc (Hons) in Estate Management. Having qualified as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1990, he completed a Masters degree in Business Administration at the University of Birmingham in 1991.
