James Hurrell

James is a partner under Bridges’ Growth Business strategy, working with portfolio companies and on new investment opportunities. He has 15 years of investment banking and private equity experience and is passionate about the role of impact investing in addressing social and environmental challenges.
James has worked on a range of investments across the investment lifecycle at Bridges, including Viva Gym, Fitness Hut, The Gym Group, World of Books, Just Ask, GEV Wind Power and Tier 1.
Prior to Bridges, James worked at LivingBridge and DC Advisory and has a MA from Oxford and MSt from Cambridge, where his dissertation was focused on accountability of impact investors. He is married with three children and is a keen runner.
